ABOUT ADERIA

OUR STORY

200 YEARS OF COMMITMENT IN GLASS MAKING

The story of ADERIA dates back to 1819 when Iwasaburo Ishizuka began pursuing his hand blown glass making when the glass industry developed immensely during the Edo era (1615-1867). He continued to advance his glass making techniques and expand his line of work, eventually establishing a first glass factory in Nagoya, Aichi where we manufacture all of our glassware today.

By combining traditional craftsmanship and modern glass making methods, ADERIA developed their first mass glass bottles in 1961. Since then, ADERIA has expanded into a myriad of glassware collections including dinnerware, drinkware, sakeware, and cookware along with over 100 hues of their original glass colors. Today, ADERIA has established themselves as a #1 glass manufacturer in Japan whose products are cherished by people all over the globe for its ever-evolving design and uncompromising quality.

OUR COLLECTIONS

TSUGARU HANDBLOWN

GLASSWARE THAT CAPTURES THE NATURE'S ESSENCE

Tsugaru Handblown Collection portrays an infinite expression of an ever-changing scenery of mother nature by combining and developing our signature colors. The soft pink hues of spring cherry blossoms, vitality of summer festivals, golden shades of autumn foliages, and the calmness of winter snow. We strive to transform the rich expressions of four seasons into our glasswares. Thousands of nature-inspired colors have originated from an intimate connection to our surroundings.

Our glasswares are born from a scorching red 1500 degrees environment. The glass grasped by the blow rod is carefully hand-finished piece by piece by the Tsugaru craftsmen who have mastered the intricate techniques of handmade glass making.
Let Tsugaru Handblown Collection cater you soothing colors and sentiments to your table as they accompany you and your guests.
